It’s important for your child to learn about their smile so they can take good care of their teeth and gums. However, sometimes learning about dental things can be a little overwhelming and confusing. So, to help you make dental education fun and entertaining, our dentist, Dr. Kenneth Pollary, encourages you to use the many educational dental resources in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The first resource is Colgate. Colgate educates your kids by offering an array of different games and activities on their website. This includes things like puzzles, online pinball games, and even a printable chart that tracks when your child brushes.
The second resource is Crest. Crest also has a fun activity that helps kids understand the effects drinks have on the teeth. It’s called “Crest Eggsperiment.” It involves exposing a hard-boiled egg to drinks. The drinks change the shell, just like they do with the tooth enamel.
The third resource is the American Dental Association. The ADA also jumped into the learning pool. They offer many activities and resources that teach your children about their teeth, gums, and oral hygiene. They offer videos on how to brush (which have fun characters teaching the children, like Elmo), games that take your child on a fun trip to the dental office, and online quiz games that ask your child questions about their smile.
